At some point, this streak has to stop, right? 13 Sundays in a row, and the Orioles still cannot win. Even here at the beach, I’m still keeping tabs on the Orioles. While I missed the game (don’t get on me ES), I did hear the results. Another bad day for the pitching staff, with Radhames Liz only going 3 2/3 innings, and Adam Loewen hurting his elbow and the bullpen largely ineffective an 11-10 loss. If the starting pitching cannot give the bullpen a break, it will be difficult for the Orioles to win games. With a road trip before the All-Star break looming, it will be hard for them to get through the week. Thankfully, the All-Star break will give just about everyone a breather, save for George Sherrill, who deserved his All-Star nod.
One more Sunday game before the break to end the streak. The O’s are hanging on to their .500 status; let’s hope they have a good week. It would be great to finish on a high note.

I forgive you for not watching. Vacations are for relaxing, after all, and watching the Os on a Sunday this season doesn’t quite fit that category. I, for one, had trouble believing we lost another Sunday. Yesterday brought home the point that pitching is so critical for winning. Our bats are strong. Liz just doesn’t seem ready if you ask me.
