After one whole week practically out of pocket (work being done in house on a new tub/shower), I am late with the above post.
Happy Birthday to MP!!!
That’s right. One whole year of blogging 152 posts, over six thousand visitors and almost one hundred comments. And what is it all for? Self-expression? Ego stroking? A place to write and express thoughts of the day? Perhaps all of those, and then some. Personally, I am thankful that anyone even looks this way. There have been some highlights:
The first posts (originally on Blogger, then moved to WordPress after a month). The first comment I received, from the now big league MCBias (who recently has joined Dwil, MODI and Stop Mike Lupica at Sports On My Mind) on a post about blogging thoughts. Comments received from Inkognegro (formerly Parrish: The Thoughts), Enchanting Sunshine, the Head Chick of Leave The Man Alone (good to see her back in the game), Mizzo from The Starting Five, Mark Edward Nero from About.com’s R&B Guide, Vivrant Thing from Songs In The Key Of Life and many others. Thanks to all for your input; I can hardly believe that anything I write from the Maryland boonies actually drew some intelligent responses.
Hopefully year 2 of the blogging experiment/(enterprise?) will bring more of everything that year one has brought this far (as well as more and better posts from yours truly).

Happy Birthday Mindpinball! I’m so glad I found you, all because I was all hopped up on the HOF weekend and misread your blog. When I started my blog I had no idea the Orioles would be so frequent a topic, but I think it’s part of the beautiful mystery of life that we connect with others sometimes when we’re least expecting it. I really enjoy your writing and that I get exposed to topics like R&B and basketball that force me to learn about something new. Of course, I’m most happy to have you as a new friend.
Happy Birthday, MP!
