I tried to tell them. Tried to warn them that my day was coming. Tried to tell all those North Carolina fans that you do not want to mess with Kansas.
Well, once again The Jayhawks make me look smart. I would venture to say I look like a genius.
After the Kansas miracle on Monday night, I won both the second round and the overall pool in my pool and also came in first in the Inkognegro Invitational. This has been a tournament for the ages for me. Certainly the best March Madness in years.
The best part! Actually, it’s a tie-beating the wife like a rented mule in both pools and Kansas destroying the Tar Heels.
As for the championship game itself, I was very nervous when Memphis had the 9-point lead with two minutes to play. It’s too bad that their achilles heel-foul shots-came into play after they had seemingly taken control of the game. However, the missed free throws were not the only reason the Tigers lost. They did help leave the door open for a Kansas team that made play after play down the stretch in regulation and overtime. For that, the Jayhawks deserve the championship; they won the game more so than the Tigers lost it.
How sweet it is!

Wooohooo!! It couldn’t have happened to a better person!
